The lands cultivated with olive groves have also followed the evolution of the vineyard. Alongside the original 50 centuries-old trees of the Moresca variety, the variety that gives its name to the company, we proceeded to acquire other land with around 300 centuries-old trees that represent the history and memory of the various Sicilian cultivars.
These trees have all been maintained and restored to production and new plants were created alongside them in 2000, 2007, 2009 and 2020. We now cultivate approximately 6 hectares of olive groves. The varieties planted are typically Sicilian: Tondo Iblea, Biancolilla, Moresca, Nocellara del Belice and Ogliarola Messinese.
The processing of the olive tree, like that of wine, follows a precise and strict process even after harvesting, monitoring which allows us to obtain a quality oil with strong antioxidant properties, valuable organoleptic characteristics and a good intensity of flavour.
