Crafted beginning with locally-roasted beans from Zero Prophet Coffee LLC in Washington, CT. They use their amazing “Torrefazione Washington” organic-coffee blend, which is equal parts Sumatra, Java, and Nicaragua beans. The beans are ground to cold-brew specifications and delivered to Litchfield Distillery where they steep for 24 hours in cold distilled water for maximum absorption. The brew is then used to proof down their Straight Bourbon Whiskey to 86 proof. The coffee adds a lot of wonderful earthy notes along with nice chocolate, toffee and pecan flavors.
